Coloring Down the Lines - Raspberry Ripple

Hi everyone!  Welcome back to our weekly blog hop, Coloring Down The Lines!  You probably just hopped on over from Carol's blog.  What did you think of her awesome creation?  Well you know it's always a hit with me!

This week's challenge was Raspberry Ripple.  The color combinations were:  raspberry ripple, old olive, and pretty in pink, or raspberry ripple, crumb cake, and perfect plum.  I decided to go with the "sweet set", the crumb cake and perfect plum.

I thought about the colors a bit and usually I have a design in my head once I choose a color combo.  This time I decided to do something a little bit simple, well, sort of.  Here's what I came up with:

Card Recipe

Stamps:  Kindness Matters, Oh Hello
Paper:  Perfect plum, crumb cake, very vanilla
Ink:  Raspberry ripple, old olive
Accessories:  Lacy brocade embossing folder, perfect plum 3/8" taffeta ribbon, basic pearls

I like the way the card turned out, even though I didn't use much raspberry ripple.  But that's the beauty of the blog hop.  You can use the colors any way you like.  So whatever the inspiration, the paper is your canvas.

So, having said that, let's hop on over to Joni's blog and see what inspired her this week. I'm sure she's got something just elegant and eye catching to share.   I can't wait to see.  Let's go...
