Banner Blast XOXO

Here's another cute card we made at a card class I attended and the banners are from the new Sale-a-Bration catalog.  They're really cute and I love the way they turned out on this card.  It's a simple and easy card, and I like the clean lines to it.

Can you see the scallop embossing in the background?  It makes the card.  It truly adds the touch it needed because it wouldn't look as good being plain.  More to come ... stay tuned!

Coloring Down the Lines - Wild Wasabi with a Punch

This is my last post for a little while, but I'll be back soon.

Our challenge this week was to come up with a card using the color combination with Wild Wasabi.  The colors are So Saffron and Perfect Plum, or Marina Mist and Early Espresso.  I chose the first color combination because I like them better.

Did you come over here from Amanda's blog?  She always does a great job with the colors.  I hope I do just as well ....

Recipe
Paper:  wild wasabi, whisper white, so saffron
Ink:  perfect plum, wild wasabi
Stamp Sets:  petite petals, perfect pennants
Accessories:  chalk talk framelit, petite petal punch, bird punch, basic pearls

I hope you like the card.  I actually saw a card similar to it on Pinterest and thought it was pretty.

Now, let's check out Joni's blog and see what she created for us this week.

See you soon.

Just Sayin ... You're The Best!

Did you ever need a card for someone who perhaps helped you out with something, or was there in your time of need, or made you laugh and feel good about yourself?  We've all had someone who has done that for us at some point and wouldn't it be nice to have a card to give them to express how we feel at that moment?  Yep, let them know how much they mean to us and what we think of them!  Well, here's a card that would fit that need.  I need to make several of these ... I have a lot of people I can send this one to.  How about you?

You can decorate the card any way you like, but the saying ... well, it's great to have a stamp when you need it.  Hope you like it!

You & Me

Valentine's Day is right around the corner and I thought I would make some Valentine cards for some of my co-workers, and of course, my hubby, my son, my daughter and son-in-law, my dad, and the rest of my family.  Here's one I made that I thought was cute.  I love the ampersand embossing folder which I used as the background.  It's cool.  I wasn't sure about it at first, but now I'm super liking it.  What do you think?

Can you see the little bit of bling on the heart?  It's sweet!  I haven't decided who will get this card, but I hope whoever I decide to send it to likes it as much as I do.  Stay tuned for more Valentines .... I just love making them!

You Make Me Happy When Skies are Gray

Everyone needs a card from time to time, especially when skies are gray.  Even when they're not gray, who wouldn't love receiving a card?  I love making them, and I sure do love receiving them.

This is a card I made in a card class and I love it.  It's another happy card, and I just might have to make another one to keep on my desk to remind me of my craft and how happy it makes me.

I love the sweet sorbet paper from the sale-a-bration catalog from Stampin' Up.  Have you seen it?  If not, you have to.  If you spend $50 in product, you get free items from the sale-a-bration catalog.  The paper is FREE!  Hey, FREE is FUN!  I have just about everything from the sale-a-bration catalog already.  Talk about sale-a-bration ... I'm in Cele-Bration mode.  Whooo Hooo!  Love the new and free stuff.  Check out my website if you're in the mood for some freebees.  Maybe I'll see your posts using the new products.  I would love it.  Until then, happy crafting!

A Cute Hello

Sometimes you want to have a card that just says "HELLO", and we made this card at one of my card classes.  I call it "A Cute Hello" because it's cute and cheery.  You'll notice, I used the watercolor paper again on this card.  This paper just says "happy" to me - what do you think?  Maybe it's all the colors in it, or perhaps it's the watercolor effect, I'm not sure, but I really like it.  I'm going to have to use it a lot more, I can see.

Now don't you see what I mean?  It's a happy card, and wouldn't you like receiving this from someone?  I know I would.  Until tomorrow, stay happy, or if you need a little pick-me-up, come back from time to time and look at the card.  I hope it cheers you up.

Peachy Keen: OH SNAP!

Here's a card I made at a card class.  I don't have the framelits, so I was happy we made this one.  It was fast and fun to make and I love the "just sayin" stamp set.  You can certainly use it for a lot of things.  Hope you like the card as much as I do ... it has a lot of color and it's just cute.

Cute, isn't it?  Maybe I'll just have to make sure I get the framelits.  There's a lot you can do with them.  Stay tuned ... you may see them in some upcoming posts.  Thanks for checking in.

Vivid Vases and Watercolor

I just love the watercolor paper that Stampin' Up came out with in the new Occasions catalog.  It's really pretty and happy.  So I wanted to make something using the paper, and I pulled out the stamp set, Vivid Vases, and thought about making a card for our team challenge and this is what I came up with.  I am proud to say, it won the challenge of the week.  I was so excited and surprised.  Love, Love, Love!  I won a pack of basic pearls.  And I have to tell you, I use pearls a lot, so I was in heaven.

I actually made the card into a get well card because it just reminded me of something that would cheer someone up.  I know it would me ... so hopefully, I won't have to use it, but if I do, I sure do hope it does it's magic and makes someone smile and know they are cared for.

Until tomorrow, keep smiling and know that there are people who do care!  Love and Hugs!!!

Coloring Down the Lines - Soft Sky

Welcome Back to Coloring Down the Lines this week.  Our color challenge this week is using the color Soft Sky.  The combinations include Real Red and Garden Green, or Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride.  I chose Pear Pizzazz and Blushing Bride because they remind me of Springtime and since we're in the midst of a January blizzard, what better way to forget what's happening outside and think warm and Spring inside.

A few of us were having some computer issues, so our line up was short this week.  We miss our participants and sure hope they will be back with us soon.  So this week, I'm hooked up with Amanda from Our Crafty Playdate.  Did you stop at her blog before arriving here?  If not, please make sure you shoot back over to see her awesome submission this week.  Amanda always has beautiful cards and I love the techniques she uses in a lot of her designs.  Check them out.  Well, here's my card for this week .... I actually saw a design on Pinterest that was similar and liked it, so I CASEd the design and made my own tweaks to it and whola ... hope you like it:

Recipe
Paper:  very vanilla, soft sky, pear pizzazz, blushing bride
Ink:  soft sky, pear pizzazz, blushing bride
Stamp Sets:  label love, a round array
Accessories:  decorative dots EF, 7/8" scallop circle punch, 1" circle punch, artisan label punch, basic pearls

Unfortunately, the soft sky didn't show up that well in the photograph where I stamped Happy Birthday to You in the center ... maybe next time I'll get a closer picture and hopefully that will work.

Now let's go on over to Joni in the Spotlight Stamping's blog and check out what she made for us this week.  I'm sure she was on the ball and made her card way a head of time.  She has the right idea getting her cards completed early and posted, ready to go.  Way to go, Joni!

Thanks for joining us again this week.  We love to inspire you and are so happy you stop by.  (Just a little note..I won't be blogging for a little while.  I'm having knee replacement surgery this coming Monday and I don't know when I'll be able to sit long enough to make cards.  I'll be quite busy with rehab, and having been through this once before, it's no picnic and I will be down for the count for a little while).  I will miss all of you, but you can bet that I'll be back as soon as I'm able.  Miss you already ... Hugs!

Chocolate Treat Holder

I made a little chocolate treat holder with a lot of Valentine Hearts stamped on the outside and sweet chocolate nuggets on the inside.  Lots of love inside and out ... oh la la.

It's a bit hard to see with the lighting, but if you look close enough, you can see the stamped hearts.  The nuggets are all nestled inside waiting for someone to eat them!  Yum Yum!

Petite Petals Birthday

Who does't love getting flowers for their birthday?  I know I do, and so why not get some flowers on your card too?  The new petite flowers stamp set and punch are so cute.  I know I'll be using these quite a lot for my creations.  Here's a birthday card that I made at a stamp day at a friend's house:

Stay tuned for some more birthday cards.  Thanks for stopping by to check out my creations!

Hearts a Flutter Valentine Love

I shared a card from one of my team members we made for our team swap on our Valentine's Day theme, and now, I'm sharing my card.  I made a few extra and swapped them forward to some who were new and are just getting in on the swaps.  The card was fun to make, and I got a lot of compliments on it.  I hope you like it ...

I really like the thinlits, and I didn't think I would.  As soon as I figured out how to get them to work easily, I just started cranking them out like crazy.  You'll see more of them in my cards coming up ... stay tuned.  I hope you'll stop back to see them.  Until then, happy creating!

Valentine with a Kiss

We made Valentine's Day cards for our team swap last weekend, and one of the swaps was a card with a hershey kiss.  Oh, not a real one ... but the card was too cute not to share.  I think I'll have to make some cards using this idea ...

My wheels are turning already on how I can use the "kiss" on a card.  Can you?  Cute, Cute!  If you try, I hope you'll share.  I'd love to see it.  Until tomorrow, sweet dreams!

Make Me Happy with Some Sweet Sorbet

I love sorbet and it reminds me of summer time.  It's still Winter, but it's always nice to dream about Summer ... and it will be here before we know it.

Our Sale-a-Bration catalog has a new "Sweet Sorbet" designer series paper (free with a $50 product order).  It's pretty paper and a lot of fun to work with.  So I made some cards using the paper and this is one of them.  I like this card - it is a happy card, and I hope you like it as much as I do.

Don't you just want to have some sorbet now?  I can just taste it ... yummy!  Love the colors.  Thanks for stopping by.

Coloring Down the Lines - Tag Me with So Saffron

Hi!  I'm glad you stopped by to check out our blog hop this week.  Our challenge is So Saffron, Rose Red, Wild Wasabi or So Saffron, Daffodil Delight, Basic Gray.  I chose the first color combination because I just didn't want to use two shades of yellow.  The added twist was to add a tag.  That doesn't seem to hard, does it?  So I thought I would create a simple card, and that's what I did.

Did you get here from Amanda's blog?  How about that Crafty Playdate?  She really does some cute stuff, doesn't she?  Hope you enjoyed her entry this week.  I did.  Now here is my card for you to view ...

Recipe
Paper:  wild wasabi, so saffron, rose red, whisper white
Ink:  black stazon, wild wasabi, so saffron, rose red
Stamp Set:  you're lovely (sale-a-bration)
Accessories:  deco labels framelits, decorative dots EF, scalloped tag topper punch, white ribbon

Let's pop on over to Joni's blog and see what she cooked up using a tag and also what color combo she used.  I just love seeing what everyone came up with ... lots of ideas, and lots to play with.

Thanks for stopping by.

Valentine Love

Well now that the holidays are over and the New Year is upon us, it's time to focus on Valentine's Day. What do you think of when you think of Valentine's Day?  Hearts, chocolate, love, all of the above?  I love to make Valentine cards, so this is the first of a couple I've made already and thought I would share.  Hope you like it.

So now I have to decide if I want to give this one to my husband or not ... well, maybe not.  I'll make him a special one.  I'll share that after I give it to him.

Stay tuned for more fun.

Last of the Diva Day Projects

Today's post is the last of the Diva Day projects.  Boo hoo.  But I guess I'll just have to WIN another DIVA DAY again to share more with you, don't you  agree?  Yea, I think so.  So enjoy the rest of the projects ...

I have to tell you about this card ... I was busy a bee creating this card only to find out that I was making it on the envelope.  Whoopsie!  Never did that EVER!  Oh well, there's a first!

This was an "extra" that was not part of Diva Day, but I thought it was so cute that I had to make a couple of them.

That's it for now.  See you tomorrow night for some other projects I made using the new products from the new Occasions Catalog.  Hope you'll stop by to see them.

Coloring Down the Lines - Pool Party Circles

Pool Party Circles, you ask?  Well, our challenge this week is Pool Party, Crushed Curry, and Old Olive or Pool Party, Wild Wasabi, and Chocolate Chip with an added twist of adding a circle to the creation.  Circles ... no biggie, right?  Well, sometimes it depends.  In my case, it wasn't hard at all.

We've been fighting these frigid temperatures for a few days now and it's been challenging.  I don't like the cold at all.  I love snow, but not this cold.  So at first, I thought of making a card with a winter theme, and then I decided, no way.  I'm tired of winter.  How about something soft and warm?  Anything but winter for me.

Well if you've arrived here from Carol's blog, you know she's hit the mark for her entry - and yes, as always.  Go Carol!  Hope you think mine stacks up to hers ... take a peek:

Recipe
Paper:  whisper white, pool party
Ink:  pool party, crushed curry, old olive
Stamp Sets:  daydream medallions, chalk talk
Accessories:  mosaic EF, floral frames framelits, circle punch, pool party 3/8" ruffled ribbon

So here's to the softer side and goodbye winter!!!  So let's pop over to Joni's blog and see what she whipped up for us this week.  Oh la la.

Thanks for taking time to visit us.  Stay tuned for more fun!

HAPPY NEW YEAR!  I can't believe it's another year.  It was a rough end to 2013, but I hope 2014 holds promise of happiness, health, and abundant blessings to each and everyone of you.
