You Made My Day

This is the last card I made for the make 'n takes at crop for a cure. I wanted to make sure I had a variety of cards to make, and that's why I chose this one too. How many times did you tell someone that they made your day? Well, wouldn't it be fun to give them a card too?

Here's what I made for "you made my day".

See you next on the blog hop ...

Just Because

As promised, this is another card I made at the crop for a cure. I used the same stamp set for all of the cards, and that made it easy to work with.

This one is "just because". Sometimes you just need a card that can be used just because ... and here's one:

And tomorrow, I'll share the last card I made at the crop.

See you then.

Floral Thanks

I participated in a crop for a cure a couple weeks ago, and I decided to make some make and take cards. I was a vendor at the event, and at first, I wasn't sure if anyone would come by to make cards since they all were there to scrapbook, but I managed to get about 8 people.

This is one of the cards I made for the make 'n take. Everyone loved the cards, and since I cut everything out, all they had to do was stamp and assemble. People love easy cards.

Stop back tomorrow for the other cards I made.

Hope you like them!

Bob's Card

Making cards for male co-workers aren't as easy as female, but I managed to make this one. I saw this card on Pinterest and just changed the colors up a bit.

This one is for Bob:

The card is simple, but one that can be used for both male or female. Sometimes, simple is just the ticket.

Thanks for stopping back. I'll keep them coming.

Birthday Card for Leslie

Thanks for coming back to see another co-worker's card. This one is for Leslie. Leslie is an artist who does such beautiful work. So, when I was trying to come up with something for her, I decided to use another one of Stampin' Up's new stamp sets ... Painter's Palette. How fitting, don't you think?

Here's the card I made for her using the new stamp set:

I also got to use the new Stampin' Up colors on this card like I used on Kelly's card. I love the new colors so much. They go together very well.

Tomorrow, stop back for another card for another co-worker.

See you then!

A Birthday Card for Kelly

One of my co-workers and I like to celebrate birthdays, so Monica is in charge of making the cakes, and I make all the cards.  Well, would you believe that this month, May, we have 5 co-workers with birthdays. Yep, 5!

Today, I'm sharing the card I made for Kelly, who's birthday is May 25. Since our blog hop happened to be on the 25th, I thought I'd share it today.

Take a peek ...

I used the new Stampin' Up colors ... aren't they pretty?

Well, keep stopping back. You'll get to see all the cards I made for my co-workers.

Bye for now.

Coloring Down the Lines - Sit With Me

I am so excited. I am using a new stamp set from Stampin' Up that will be available starting June 2. But I wanted to use it in this week's blog hop, and I'm glad I did.

The colors in this week's challenge are so pretty, and they look good together. I love flowers, but wanted to do something a bit different this round, so that's why I selected this stamp set called "Sitting Here". I love it ...

Let's take a peek at the challenge photo and color palette we used for inspiration first. I'm sure you'll agree, the colors are nice.

Now do you see what I mean? And we even get to use one of the newer colors, mint macaron. Oh la la.

Ready to see my card? I'm ready to show it to you ....... drum roll please!

Doesn't the card make you just want to sit on the swing and relax? I know I do.

I learned how to make the pillows look 3D. They look so cool in person. I hope you like my card as much as I do.

If you've arrived here from Amanda's blog, then you had to love what she's created. Now it's time to hop on over to Joni's blog and check out what she made with the color palette we had to work with. I love to see what everyone makes.

Thanks for stopping by .. it makes my heart sing!

Have a blessed day!

Coloring Down the Lines - Kissed with Flowers

Welcome to the Blog Hop, Coloring Down the Lines on this very Wednesday. Were you waiting patiently for this day to come? I know I always get excited when I have to create my card for the blog, and the fun is always figuring out what to create.

At first, I wasn't sure what I wanted to make with the colors we had to work with. Somehow, nothing spoke to me right away, but then I knew what I wanted to make and then sat down and created it.

Here's what I'm talking about ... below is the color palette and photograph we used for this week's challenge. What do you think of when you see it?

Don't you think the picture is very colorful? I sure do, and I knew I wanted to make something not as busy, but then again, this is what I ended up creating...

Cardstock: whisper white, sahara sand
Ink: bermuda bay, soft sky, pink pirourette, rose red, sahara sand, hello honey
Stamp Set: freebee from paper pumpkin; teeny tiny wishes
Accessories: basic pearls

There you have it! Sign, sealed, delivered. Now, make sure you hop on over to Joni's blog and check out her color creation. If you haven't arrived here from Amanda's blog, just hop on back one and check out her blog.

Well, that's it for today. Check my blog out again for some more of my creations.

See you soon!

Happy Birthday to My Sister, Linda

My sister's birthday is on cinco de mayo, a very festive day! The new catalog has a stamp set that I thought would work great, but I haven't received my pre-order box yet, so I had to make a different card. Of course, I love the card I made, and I got my inspiration from several cards on Pinterest. Here's my version of them:

You know, when I was making the card, I could not find the stamp set that goes with the thinlits. I still, to this day, cannot find it. I have no idea what I did with it, and I keep all my stamp sets in my drawers in my craft room, so I'm very puzzled by its disappearance. I sure hope it turns up soon.

Never-the-less, I could still create this card without it, as the thinlits worked just great. I love the colors I used on the card - tip top taupe, blushing bride, rose red, always artichoke, and old olive. I also used sahara sand 7/8" lace ribbon and topped the flowers with basic pearls.

Love the card ... hope you do too.

Thanks for stopping by.

Coloring Down the Lines - Help Me Grow

Happy Wednesday. I can't believe the week is half over already. It feels like the week has just begun. Oh well, we're closer to the weekend, and that is something to be happy about.

This week's blog hop's colors are soft and muted. I decided to make something simple, and it was a quick card too.

Let's check out the color palette and photograph and see what we had to work with this week.

I wish I could duplicate the colors in the photograph, as I love hydrangeas, and the picture is so delicate and pretty. I'll have to practice to see if I can get it just right, but in the meantime, here's my card for you this week:

The stamp sets I used for my card are work of art, timeless textures, and help me grow. The flowers have mint macaron, marina mist, and sahara sand. I finished the card off with sahara sand 7/8 " lace trim ribbon.

You most likely arrived here from Amanda's blog, and I hope you enjoyed what she made for you this week. Joni was very busy as well making her card, and don't forget to stop by to see Lizzy and Robbie's cards too. We're a short hop this week, but always full of surprises.

Have a wonderful hump day.

Alex's Birthday Card

Alex is my co-worker and team mate at work, and she also celebrated her birthday on May 1. I wanted to make a different style of card for Alex than I did Chris, so I sat down and came up with a design I liked. I like balloons, and they always seem to celebrate birthdays to me, so that's what I decided to use for her card.

Take a peek ...

Just a simple card, with a cute pop of color with the balloons. I used wink of stella for a touch on the balloons, and it made it just the way I wanted it.

Stay tuned for more creations. My computer is very slow again, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't go again. Don't need that ...

Ciao for now.

Chris' Birthday Card

I have two co-workers that share the same birthday of May 1. So I made them each a card and had the entire department sign it.

The nice thing about birthdays is that everyone loves receiving my cards, and I love making them. I cased Chris' card from one I saw on Stampin Connection. I just changed the colors up, but there was something about the card that I really liked.

Here's the card I made for her:

I used watermelon wonder, cucumber crush, and delightful dijon for this card. As I always say, it's prettier in person than in the picture .. and sure wish I could capture the card as it looks. Maybe someday ..

Hope you like it.

Coloring Down the Lines - Flowering Fields

It's blog hop Wednesday again. YIPPIE. Another card I can create.

I love the colors for the challenge this week. They are soft, and pastel like. I had a lot of ideas of how I was going to put my card together, but ended up with something a bit different.

Here is the photograph and color pallet for this week:

I just love the photo ... I may end of making something different later on using these colors, but for now, this is what I came up with:

Cardstock:  very vanilla, pear pizzazz, pink pirouette, so saffron, wisteria wonder
Ink:  pink pirouette, so saffron, wisteria wonder, pear pizzazz
Stamp Sets:  flowering fields (ret), cottage greetings, timeless textures
Accessories:  petite petals punch, itty bitty accents punch, basic pearls, wink of stella

I blended the pink pirouette and wisteria wonder for the sky just to give it a little interest. The timeless textures was used for the grassy foreground, and the rest is stamping.

If you arrived here from Amanda's blog, don't forget to click on over to see Joni's creation. You'll love all the great creations and ideas.

Thanks for stopping by.

My Team Swaps for May

We had our team meeting on Sunday, May 1, but unfortunately, I wasn't feeling well and couldn't attend. I made my swaps, so I thought I would share them with you, and of course, I'll mail them to my team mates that gave me one.

Hope you like it.

The background is stamped with timeless textures ... and I have to tell you, at first, I wasn't fond of the stamp set, but now, I love it. It adds just the right touch to this card, and although the photograph doesn't do it justice, it's really pretty in person. I stamped the background using sahara sand, and mounted the card on saraha sand cardstock.

Thanks for taking a peek. See you later!

Heartfelt Sympathy for Michelle

As promised, I'm posting the card I made for Michelle - this is the one I gave her from my husband and I. This card too is a plain and simple one, but I found it fitting, so this is the one I chose to give her.

That's all I have to say about this card for now. Tomorrow should be something happier.

Thank you for stopping by.

Sympathy for Michelle's Father

My friend, and coworker lost her father a few weeks ago. It's always sad losing someone, and since Michelle lost her mother when she was only 19, I'm sure it was extra hard to lose her father.

I made a card from our department and wanted to make it simple, but pretty. So I made this one from the group:

It's a simple card, but pretty, and it can be both masculine or feminine. I chose the lost lagoon ribbon for the touch of blue. The card actually looks so much better in person than in the photograph. Sure wish I could capture the real look ...

Anyway, I'll post the other card I made for her tomorrow, from me.

Don't enjoy having to make sympathy cards .. but they are a necessary at times, and it's always nicer to make it pretty to look at - in keeping with the lovely memory of the one that has crossed over to the other side.

Until tomorrow ...
