Coloring Down the Lines - Melon Mambo Take Two

Thanks for joining us on the blog hop this week.  Our challenge is Melon Mambo - and since we had this color combo one before, this is take two.  The combinations are melon mambo, old olive, and elegant eggplant, or melon mambo, tempting turquoise, and daffodil delight.  I chose the first color combination because I thought it would be a little more challenging.  I rather like the color combo I chose .. it turned out pretty cool.

You may have come over from Carol's blog, and if so, I'm sure it was a nice treat.  Don't you like just checking out everyone's creation?  There's a lot of inspiration flowing, so I hope you enjoy the remainder of the blog hop.

Now, here's my entry for the week:

Recipe:
Paper:  elegant eggplant, whisper white, melon mambo, old olive patterned dsp
Ink:  elegant eggplant, old olive, melon mambo
Stamp Set:  simply sketched
Accessories:  perfect polka dots EF, piercing pack, basic pearls, candy dots, and  old olive ribbon

Now let's hop over to Joni's blog to check out what she made for us this week.  Thanks for stopping by, and your comments mean a lot to me.  Thank you for sharing your thoughts.

Black and White

I participated in another private swap for black and white cards.  At first, I wasn't sure what to do and didn't realize it wasn't as easy as I thought.  Then, once I came up with a design, it was cake.  I had to make 21 of these, and they turned out pretty awesome.  I hope you like them as much as I do.

I was very pleased the way the card turned out.  I received a lot of pretty black and white cards in return, and you'll see those posted later.  Who would have known that black and white would look so clean and beautiful?  Now, why don't you see if you can come up with something awesome?  I bet you can!

Make 'n Takes from Convention 2013

Now that you have some more cute ideas, what are you waiting for?  Dive in and start creating.  You'll be glad you did.

Convention 2013 3D gift

For one of our private swaps, we were to make a 3D gift and bring it wrapped to share.  I wasn't sure what to make, so I decided to make some wine charms, wine tags, and a clay mold container.  Well, unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the wine charms!  I can't believe I didn't.  They were so cute too.  I'll have to make one just to share - but I made 10 of them and they were really pretty.  Anyway, here are the wine tags and clay mold.  Amanda was the lucky one who received my gift.

 Champagne tag
 Clay mold container
white wine tag - this one is my favorite

red wine tag

So which one is your favorite?  They turned out cute too and it was amazing I got them to SLC in one piece without getting bent.  YEAH!  Until tomorrow, let the creative juices flow ...

Convention 2013 Swap

I made quite a few swaps for Convention this year, and here is another one I made for one of the private swaps I was in.  I made this card in another color prior to Convention, and I thought I would share that one too.  I used Strawberry Slush for Convention swaps, and Coastal Cabana for just me.  Here they are:

I couldn't decide which one I liked better - they're both cute.  I hope you like them too.  TTFN

More of My Convention Swaps

Here are some more of my Convention 2013 swaps ... one is a 3x3, which I love, and the other is using the Dahlia stamp - you know I would have to use that stamp, wink wink.

Hope you enjoy these as well.

The picture doesn't do it justice --- it's really a cute card in person.  The layers are what make it pop.
This is the one I used for my general swap
This was the original design I made .. I couldn't use it because I didn't have enough embellishments for 30 cards.

That's it for now.  Stay tuned .. I'll share some Convention highlights and photographs with you.

Coloring Down the Lines - Daffodil Delight

Without skipping a beat, it's time for our weekly Coloring Down the Lines blog hop.  Yes, I still managed to have time to create a card and post - just for you.

Did you just come over from Our Crafty Playdate's blog?  Amanda is like the energizer bunny - she's always up for a challenge and is on top of her game.

This week's challenge is Daffodil Delight.  The color combos are:  night of navy and old olive, or cherry cobbler and early espresso.  I chose the first color combination for my entry this week.  I hope you like it.

Recipe
Paper:  night of navy, daffodil delight, old olive, whisper white, night of navy patterned dsp
Ink:  black stazon, old olive
Stamp Set:  cycle celebration
Accessories:  candy dots, basic rhinestone, daffodil delight stitched ribbon

I love the cycle celebration stamp set.  It's so cute and fun.  Let's go over and check out what Liz created for you this week.  I bet it's really nice ...

My Convention 2013 Swaps

I'm back from Convention and the ideas are flowing in overload ... you just wouldn't believe.  There were close to 6000 in attendance - I had never seen so many people in one spot in my life.

Before I left, I made some swaps.  Some were organized swaps, and I also made a general swap.  Here are some that I made...

I will be posting more as the week progresses.  I love sharing all the beautiful card swaps I received at Convention, and I'm sure you will find much inspiration in them as well.  TTFN.

Coloring Down the Lines - Bermuda Bay

In the frantic days leading up to leaving for Convention, I almost forgot my blog post for today.  Good Heavens.  And after making over 214 cards for swaps, I am pooped out.  I realized that my card creation for the blog is similar to the last post.  You'll just have to forgive me ... but wait till you see my cool stuff from Convention.  I didn't want to post my swaps yet until after I get back.  So I'm taking a little break until then and you'll be WOWED - I promise.

Anyway, our color combo for this week is bermuda bay, melon mambo and crushed curry, or bermuda bay, tangerine tango and smoky slate.  I should have chosen the later, but I didn't this week.

Did you check out Carol's entry?  I'm sure she took her time with hers ... it shows.

Now, for mine:

Let's check out what Liz made for us too ... Can't wait to see.

See you after Convention.  Happy Stamping!

Coloring Down the Lines - Pistachio Pudding

There's only one more week left until Convention, and besides frantically trying to get all my swaps completed, and yes, designed, I couldn't miss out on our Coloring Down the Lines Blog Hop.  Oh yes, I'll have something for you while I'm away at Convention too ... don't you worry.

This week's challenge is Pistachio Pudding, Smoky Slate, and Strawberry Slush, or Pistachio Pudding, Baked Brown Sugar, and Crisp Cantaloupe.  I thought I would try my hand at the first color combo, so I sat down and looked at the colors and decided what I wanted to make, and came up with it.  I tweaked it a bit, but I'm happy the way it turned out.

You must have come over from Carol's blog ... and after seeing hers, I sure do hope mine stacks up.  You decide:

Recipe
Paper:  smoky slate, strawberry slush, pistachio pudding, and whisper white
Ink:  pistachio pudding, smoky slate
Stamp Sets:  everything eleanor, cycle celebration
Accessories:  scallop border punch, pistachio pudding 3/8" ruffle stretch ribbon trim, flower daisy die, perfect polka dots EF, smokey slate button, basic rhinestones

The card actually looks better in person.  It looks a bit washed out in the photo above, but trust me, it's pretty.  The card base is smoky slate, then layered with strawberry slush, pistachio pudding, and then whisper white.  It's a bit hard to see it, but if you zero in closer, you'll be able to see them.

Well, let's check out Joni's card of the week ... I'm sure it's a winner.  Off we go.  Happy Stamping!

Hexagon Mania

Besides our team swaps every month, we always have some goodie projects to do, and this one I'm calling Hexagon Mania.  It's a simple card using the hexagon punch, and it's fun to work with.  Imagine all the possibilities .....

Here's the card we made at our team meeting last month:

Simple, but oh so cute.  I hope you got the stamp set and punch ... you won't regret it.

Until tomorrow, let your imagination go wild!

June Team Swap - Baby

I thought I would share with you another team swap "baby" theme card.  This one is from Shauna, and it's so darling.  I love baby stuff, and of course, the stamps we have to play with are just so sweet.  You could really have some fun with them.  Have you checked out the new catalog and the cute zoo babies stamp set?  I  can't wait to make something using it.  You'll have to stay tuned to see.  In the meantime, here's Shauna's swap:

In keeping with the baby swaps, here's a couple more:  one is from Patti, and the other from Jill.  They are just darling.

This is the one Jill created:

And this is what Patti made.

Hope you like them.  Until tomorrow, keep the creativity flowing.  See ya!

Team Meeting - SMILE

Here is another card we made at our team meeting in June.  It's a simple card, but it's really cute.  Take a peek:

The card uses the beautifully baroque EF, as well as the 3/8" ruffle stretch trim ribbon in crisp cantaloupe.  The butterfly just tops it off and it's ready to give to something to make their day.  Hope you like it.

June Team Swap - Baby

This month's team swap was a "baby" theme, so everyone who participates has to design a baby card and make enough for whomever is swapping that month.  It's always fun doing baby cards; they just seem to come naturally.

I made my baby card a month in advance, actually by mistake.  I thought we had two swaps for May, but it was only one.  So ... I was a month ahead of the game, and that sure came in handy since I had a lot going on between May and June.  Anyway, here's the card I designed for my "baby" swap:

Recipe
Paper:  daffodil delight, whisper white, gumball green, sunshine & sprinkles DSP
Ink:  daffodil delight (for butterflies)
Stamp Set:  alphabet, fancy fan EF, artisan label punch, circle punch, lucky limeade bakers twine; butterfly punch, basic pearls

So what do you think?  It was a little more work than I anticipated because I used the circle punch insisde the artisan punch, then punched gumball green circles and popped the letters out from the gumball green circles inside the artisan punch.  But never-the-less, it turned out so cute and I was happy I did it.  Hope you like it.  Until tomorrow ... keep on smiling and creating those masterpieces.

Water Bottle Fancy

I made some water bottle tags for a fund raiser I participated in last month, and I thought they turned out real cute.  What a cute idea to perk up a plain old water bottle.  I think they make a statement, don't you?

I thought they were a little "fun" and made my table look very festive.  Hope you like them ... they're very easy to make and you can use them over and over again.  Try them yourself and you'll see.

Coloring Down the Lines - Baked Brown Sugar

It didn't take me long to come up with the idea for the colors this week.  The selection was:  baked brown sugar, crisp cantaloupe, bermuda bay, or baked brown sugar, garden green, cherry cobbler.  I attended an open house this past weekend at my friend Pam's and we made a card similar to this one.  I changed it up to incorporate the colors for my challenge and added a few embellishments, a different sentiment, and whola!

Have you had a chance to see everyone's creation yet?  If you came over here from Carol's blog, I hope my card is up to par with hers.   I love the way Carol uses her color combos ... they're always a hit.

So without further ado, here's my creation.  Hope you like it as much as I do.

Recipe
Paper:  baked brown sugar, whisper white
Ink:  baked brown sugar, crisp cantaloupe, bermuda bay
Stamp Sets:  mosaic madness; cycle celebration
Accessories:  mosaic madness EF, mosaic madness punch, itty bitty shapes punch pack,  baked brown sugar 3/8" ruffle stretch trim, designer buttons

Loving the mosaic madness stamp set.  I know I'll be creating a lot with it.  Now let's go check out Joni to !see what she did with her colors this week.  Can't wait to see .... thanks for stopping by.  I love seeing you

Cute Goodie Bag

I just had to share another thing I got at Pam's open house last weekend.  She made us each a cute goodie bag which was filled with, yep, you got it, goodies.  We used some of the goodies to create some of the cards we made ... and I'm just WOW'd with this bag.  I'm going to have to make one of these too.

Did you check out the key chain on the side?  Love, Love, Love it!  Thanks Pam!

Coastal Cabana Notes

Take a look at the cute notebook I got at Pam's open house this past weekend.  It's so adorable ... and I just love the new 2013-15 in colors, especially coastal cabana.  I just had to share it because I love it.

Well I just think I'm going to have to make some of these cuties.  Until tomorrow .... happy viewing!
