My Valentine

I made some Valentine's Day cards for some kits for my library class folks. This is one of the Valentines that I made for them. It's a simple card, but sometimes, simple is much more prettier.

Let me know what you think ...

You can't see the hearts embossing folder that I used for the background too well, but if you look closer, you can see it.

I hope you like it. Tomorrow I will post my other card I made, along with the cute little milk carton treat holder.

Happy Creating.

Coloring Down the Lines - Snowy Bluebird

Happy Wednesday! The weather is getting nicer outside, despite the melting snow, and the best part is that the groundhog didn't see his shadow. YIPPIE! That means Spring is right around the corner.

This week's challenge falls right in line with my title today, as I took my lead from the picture. I love bluebirds and wish we had some around where I live, but they don't visit my house too often. There is one or two every now and again, but at my son's place, they are abundant. I will have to see about putting up some bluebird houses in my yard and see how long it takes them to find them. That will work!!!

Anyway, let's take a peek at the photograph we used for our inspiration, as well as the color pallet. You'll see what I mean.

I could look at this picture for a long time. I love it.

This is what I created for you this week.

The stamp sets I used for this card were One Big Meaning, Among the Branches, Awesomely Artistic. I used the bird punch for the bird, and the oval framelits, along with Gently Falling embossing folder. I topped everything off with Wink of Stella, Clear, and the silver satin ribbon.

If you've arrived here from Robbie's blog, be sure to hop on over to see what Sandy created for you too. We have a small blog hop this week, but I'm sure you'll be happy with everything you see.

Thanks for stopping by, and I'll see you tomorrow.
