Snowflake Soiree

I'm loving the snowflake die from SU, and the champagne glimmer paper is the best.  Love Love Love!  I made a quick and easy card using the snowflake die ... check it out:

It really looks much prettier in person.  Wish the camera phone could capture the card the way I see it, but o well, you get the idea.  Hope you like it.

Also think I'll try and find some challenges to enter this weekend.  I could use a good challenge.  I might take my two little Maltese over to have their picture taken with Santa, but only if they're good.  Now I know it's going to be hit or miss with them.  O well, why do I torcher myself?  Guess that's just the way it is.

Well, stay tuned for more Christmas cards this weekend.  Need to get a move on!  Thanks for stopping by.

Scentsational Season Christmas Tags

I had fun making some Christmas Tags for the benefit for Brad, the young man I work with who is battling a brain tumor.  I also made a floral "to/from" tag using Christmas DSP from Stampin Up, and I rather liked how it turned out.  I want to try another pattern to see how that looks.  Anyway, here are the tags I made:

And here's the floral tag using the Christmas DSP:

I also included some stocking gift tags, and two stocking "gift card" holders.  Here they are:

And lastly, here's the whole ensemble I made for the benefit.  It turned out cute.

Well, that's it for tonight.  Until tomorrow, happy evening!!

Coloring Down the Lines - Calypso Coral

It's blog hop time again!  WOW, time flies, doesn't it?  Did you just come over from Carolscards-rchelix?  Another awesome design from her, right?  This week's challenge was either one of the color combos:  calypso coral, delightful daffodil, and baja breeze, or calypso coral, basic gray, and riding hood red.  Well, I couldn't come up with anything for the later combination, so I chose the first one.  Here's my masterpiece (well, for lack of a better word ...)

I have to say, I had a tough time coming up with a design for this one.  I didn't have problem with the colors, but what to make with the colors was a mind boggler.  Maybe because I'm in Christmas Card mode, it made it a bit more challenging, but at least I figured it out.  Well, I'd love to see what Joni made.  How about you?  Let's hop on over to joniinthespotlightstamping and see......  Thanks for stopping by and playing with us this week.  Cheers!

Pennant Christmas Trees

I got a later start today making my Christmas cards.  I made ten of one design.  I made  5 of each in different colors for something different.  I would have made more, but I spent time putting together a bucket of 50 cards, Christmas gift tags, Christmas gift boxes, and gift card holders for a benefit on December 7th for a young man I worked with who has an inoperable brain tumor.  It's so sad.  Brad just got engaged and had the world at his feet.  We are holding the benefit for him to help pay for his medical bills.  We also bought a toy to bring to the benefit so Brad can hand out toys to all the young children who are hospitalized.  So first, here is one of the cards I made with the pennant die, and then I took a picture of the basket of cards & goodies I made for the benefit.

I CASEd this card from someone on Pinterest, but I changed it up a little bit.  I added the champagne glimmer snowflake for a bit of interest.  Now here's the bucket of cards with all the other goodies I made for Brad's benefit:

It was fun putting the basket together and making all the gift tags & boxes.  I sure hope the recipient likes them.

Well, I have a very busy day tomorrow.  6 presentations in one day!  Can you believe it?  I'll be happy when they're over.  How in the world did that happen?  I have no idea.  O well.  I'll make it through as I always do.  It was nice to have the long holiday weekend to get ready for tomorrow.  So until tomorrow, have a restful night.  Thanks for stopping by!

Ornament Keepsake Christmas

Now that Thanksgiving Day is over, it's a mad dash to get the Christmas Cards made.  I made a few today ~ all different styles.  Once I figure out which ones I like best, I will make a bunch of them for my cards.  Here is one of the ones I created:

I usually like to make my cards using one or two stamp sets, and then make random cards with the other stamp sets I bought.  I love making Christmas cards.  I  found some awesome cards on Pinterest.  I've made some of them, but altered them a bit.  There are some really talented stampers out there.  WOW!  So stay tuned ... I'll be sharing some with you.

Thanks for stopping by.

Thanksgiving Day Turkey Gobbler Favors

I hope you all had a nice Thanksgiving.  It's a wonderful time of year to spend with family and friends.  Our daughter and her husband live in New York and hardly ever get to come home and spend the holidays with the family.  Between their work schedules, it never permits them enough time to spend with us, and I sure hope someday that changes.  But for now, I'm grateful for what we have and our family and friends.

I made these cute hershey nugget turkey favors that I saw on Pinterest from Jill's Ink.  They were so cute, I had to make them to take to my sister's house for Thanksgiving.  I changed up the face a little, but basically, the rest of the favor is exact.  How cute are these ....

I love to make little things like that for the holidays and actually, for any occasion.  These were a great find.

Well I wish you a wonderful holiday weekend to relax and shop, whichever tickles your fancy.  I'm just going to make some Christmas cards, finish the basket of cards & gift tags for a benefit, and put up some Christmas decorations this weekend.  I sure hope I manage to get it all done before Sunday so I can catch up on some work I have to do for Monday.  (yes ... have a boat load of work to do that must get done).  Then I can relax the rest of the week ... well, maybe!

Thanks for stopping by.  Happy Black Friday to you!

Coloring Down the Lines - Perfect Plum

Welcome back to our blog hop!  It's been a busy week, and of course, it's Thanksgiving this Thursday, so I hope you're all excited and ready for a great time with family and friends.

We are light this week, but I'm sure you're going to enjoy all the creative cards we've made.  This week's challenge was Perfect Plum.  The color combos were:  Perfect Plum, Marina Mist, and Rose Red, or Perfect Plum, Riding Hood Red, and More Mustard.  I chose the second of the two color combos for my card.  As always, Robbie over at Inkedx2 is the leader of the blog, and she just has the best ideas around.  Don't you agree?  I love the way she puts the color combos together with no effort at all.  Well, without further ado, here's what I made for the challenge:

Do you like what I did with the center of the flower?  I took a piece of pleated red riding hood red SU ribbon and tied it in a knot, then cut the ends off and glued it in the center.  Cute!  I was pleased with how it turned out.  I hope you like it too.

Now, let's hop on over to see what Joni of joniinthespotlightstamping created for us!  She's our recent newcomer and we just love having her on our team!  Doesn't she do some nice work?  Hope you enjoy it.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, and we'll see you back after turkey day.

Snowman & Penguin Treat Bags

I haven't been able to post a lot this past week as I've been having computer issues.  Weird things keep happening and hanging my computer up, so it's been frustrating to say the least.

Anyway, looks like I'm good to go for right now.  YEAH!  So I thought I would post some cute treat boxes we made at our team meeting this past Saturday.  We made a total of (4) treat boxes made out of the fancy favor die.  The ones I'm sharing with you tonight are the Snowman and Penguin Treat Bags.  Take a peek ... they are so stinkin' cute!

I'll share the other two later this week.  I'm sure you'll love them.

Don't forget to stop back on Wednesday for our blog hop.  It's nearing our Thanksgiving holiday, so I most likely won't post anything on Thursday.  I'll be sure to be back on Friday.  Happy viewing, and thanks for stopping by.

Give Thanks Pumpkins

Well, I thought I should finish my Thanksgiving Day cards and get them out on Monday before it's too late.  I had a few more to make, so I thought I would share them with you.  Here's one I'm sending to my Aunt:

I popped out the one pumpkin and the leaves.  It looks really nice in person.  The card looked a bit to stark white to me, so I sponged the edges and all over the card.  It gave it a distressed look.  I hope my aunt likes it.  Until tomorrow ...

Coloring Down the Lines - Marina Mist

Welcome back to our blog hop this week.  It was a fun weekend for crafting, and our challenge for this week was one of the two color combinations:  Marina Mist, Crumb Cake, and Cajun Craze, or Marina Mist, Real Red, and Old Olive.  I chose the first color combination and added a touch of old olive for interest.  I had fun with this card that I found on Stampin Connection.  I changed up a few things and added some color and was pleased with the result.  Did you like what Ourcraftyplaydate had for you this week?  She's always creating something fun and cool, don't you think.  Here's my card:

I don't know if you can see it, but I used diamond dust glitter on the mounds of snow below the trees, as well as around the larger pine tree in the front.  It really looks cool with the glitter, and this was my first attempt to do an actual "snow scene".  Well, I hope you liked what I created for you today, and now, let's hop on over to Joni's blog, the newest person on the team, and see what she made.  Let's go ....

Apothecary Accents Thank You - Deborah Fundraiser

Another card I made for the Deborah fundraiser workshop was a "Thank You" card using the Stampin' Up apothecary accents framelits.  This card is a very simple one that was on Pinterest, and I added a little interest to it by adding pearls and the petals-a-plenty embossing folder.  Here it is:

I used the color "Poppy Parade", which is a retired card stock color from Stampin Up.  It worked well with the card and it was a hit.  Many of the women were so cute sharing back and forth that they were going to send each other the cards they made at the fundraiser.  I'm so glad a good time was had by all.  Stay tuned for our bloghop tomorrow.  The featured color is "Marina Mist".  Thank you for stopping by.

Christmas in the Heart - Deborah Fund-raiser

I did my very first fund-raiser today for Deborah hospital.  I taught a 2-hour workshop making 3 cards and 1 project.  Everyone had a great time.  The best news is that all the women who attended had never made cards before.  After the initial reservations I heard in between tables, everyone felt comfortable, laughed, and had a wonderful time.  They want to do this again, and I'm so excited to help such a wonderful cause.  My friend, Debbie, who hosted me for the workshop fund-raiser, made more $$ on my workshop for Deborah than she did selling other items she's had in the past.  WOW!  I was so happy.  Here's one of the cards we made today ...

I actually CASed this card, but can't remember where I saw it.  Sorry!!!! I changed it slightly, and it turned out so cute.  Hope you like it.  Until tomorrow ...

Josh's Birthday Card

My son-in-law Josh's birthday is this month.  I'm not real good with "masculine" cards, but for some reason, I didn't have to think too hard when making this card.  It just popped in my head and I had it created in no time.  That's a record for me.  I always spend most of my time pondering the "prototype", and usually after a few tries, I get it just right.  I was very pleased with Josh's card, and I sure hope he likes it too.  Here it is ...

Do you like it?  I love the colors.  I used Stampin Up's  "pinwheels on parade" dsp for this one.  I'm so glad it all came together so well.  Now the true test will be what Josh thinks.

Now, off to complete the last of the 3 cards that I'm creating for the Deborah hospital fund-raiser I'm doing this weekend.  I have the project done and 2 of the 3 cards .. so just one more card to go!  Until tomorrow ... thanks for stopping by.

Coloring Down the Lines - Bashful Blue

Well, I sure had a hard time with the challenge this week.  We had to create a card using the color combination Bashful Blue, Rose Red, and Wild Wasabi, or Bashful Blue, Chocolate Chip, and Certainly Celery.  I pondered this all week and throughout the weekend.  I knew I wanted to use the first color combo, and the colors spoke "Winter Theme" to me, but nothing was happening.  I started down one path, but ended up with another.  The worst thing was that I realized I didn't have bashful blue card stock ~ only the marker and water color crayon.  But lo and behold, wouldn't you know, I found 2 pieces of 8-1/2 x 11" card stock in a stack of outdated colors!  Wonder how it got there?  I found it at the n'th hour too.  What were the odds of that happening?????  So .. I decided to use the snowman from Stampin Up's Snow Much Fun stamp set.  I wonder if everyone else had as much difficulty as I did?  From what you've seen over at carolscards-rchelix, it didn't seem like she had much trouble, did it?  Here's what I came up with:

We also have some great news this week.  A new person joined us and her name is Joni.  You can jump on over and see her work of art right now.  Don't forget to click on her name.  Welcome Joni!  We're happy to have you.  Until tomorrow ... happy stamping!!!

Gift for Baby

My groomer's daughter is having a baby girl, so I decided to make some baby announcement cards, a box, and a baby card.  I had a lot of fun making them.  Her colors are fall tones, so this is what  I made.  I'll start with the baby card first ....

Now, here's the baby announcements ~ I made 10 of these:

Now for the box ...

Well what do you think?  Cute, cute, cute!  I am very pleased how they came out.  I have another baby gift to make yet too.  I have about a week to make it.  I've been so busy lately with raffles and fund-raisers, and I truly have to think about my Christmas cards.  I have some ideas, but really need to sit and create them.  Hopefully I'll get the ideas flowing soon.

Thanks for stopping by ... and sure welcome your comments.

Janet's Birthday Card

My friend, Janet, has a birthday this month, and I don't get to see her very often.  She always remembers my birthday, and naturally, I made her a card for hers.  Here's the card I've created for her:

I had fun making it.  Someone made a card like this and I CASed some of it, but the card didn't have a name on it.  It looked like a fun card to make, so I varied the card a bit and made this one.   Hope you like it.  I'll be posting some cute stuff I've been working on this weekend sometime this week.  I made a baby card and a box with 10 onesies in it for my groomer's daughter who is having a baby (hopefully this week).  I also made a card for my son-in-law, Josh, who also has a birthday this month.  You'll be seeing that soon too.

Until tomorrow, stay well, and happy stamping!  Thanks for stopping by.

Happy Birthday

This is a birthday card I created because I just love the cupcake builder punch.  You can do so much with it.  Take a peek at this simple birthday card ...

Doesn't it remind you of something fun and bright?  I love it, and especially love the colors.  I hope you like it as much as I do.

Until tomorrow ... stay warm and keep stampin!
