Thursday Focus - Cheerful Tags

Hi Everyone! Yes, we have a new blog that I'm in called Thursday Focus, where a stamp set, or framelit is featured and we all make something using the product. I'm excited because this is my first entry, as this blog has been born about 2 weeks ago.

As the title states, the product focus this week is Cheerful Tags. I had a great time playing with the framelits, and coming up with something to share with you today. So without further delay, here is the card (s) I made for you:

The first card, I chose to do a New Years theme. It was easy, and then being on a roll, I made the second card just because. I show a close up of the second card above so you can see the details. I used a silver foil doily, and a wooden snowflake which I colored with bermuda bay marker and then covered it with dazzling diamonds glitter.

I hope you like my designs and that you will try the framelits for yourself. There's a lot you can do with them ... let your imagination go wild.

If you've arrived here from Joni's blog, I'm the end of the line. You can always hop on back to Robbie's blog if you feel like taking another spin around the blogs. Go ahead, have fun.

Thanks for stoping by.

Coloring Down the Lines - Silver & Gold Scribbles

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas. It's hard to believe it's over already. It seems like we prepare and you never seem to truly get finished, then poof, the day is here and gone.

I had a very busy holiday. Christmas Eve, we had my mother-in-law for dinner, then Christmas Day I hosted for my family, and there were about 14 people in attendance. The following day was my mother-in-law's birthday, and so we celebrated again at her house. I needed a day just to wind down after all the festivities.

I was happy to get back into my stamp room and complete our last "silver and gold" card. I was on a roll, and had a good time creating. Now, I have to take the time and clean my craft room in time for the New Year. It looks like a herd of buffalo rumbled through it and everything is every where. I'll have to chip away at it each night this week, although I do have to work on Wednesday and Thursday.

Well, enough of that. Let's get to the real reason you're here - to see what we've all created. Let's start, of course, with the inspirational photo. Here it is:

I think the photograph is so soft and serene. There's just something about silver and gold that is very elegant. So let's check out what I've created for you - I hope you like it.

I took the scribbles framelits and used silver, gold, and gold glimmer paper, and topped it off with the pine branches framelits with bow. The bow is of red glimmer paper, and the background frame is red foil, with the center is dazzling diamonds glimmer paper. It looks stunning in person. And of course, the metal rimmed pearl added just the last bit the card needed.

Now that you've seen my card, hop on over to Joni's blog to check out hers. If you've missed Amanda's, blog, click here to go back one. Hop on through to the end ... you will be glad you did.

Thank you for stopping by, and I hope you gathered more inspiration than you could have imagined.

Coloring Down the Lines - Santa's Sleigh in Silver and Gold

It's getting close to the big day, and everywhere you look, there's silver and gold. Add some green and red, even blue, and you have Christmas!

I created a card for you today using Stampin' Up's Santa's Sleigh framelit, and I just love it. I made a couple cards using it, and I could go on and on with more and more ideas, and maybe I will just made some cards for next year - and get a jump start now.

Let's start with our inspirational photograph. This is what we used, and the ideas flowed from there.

The photograph reminds me of snow covered hills with trees dotted on the hillside.  Hmm... now I have another idea for a card, but not for today.

Here's my card that I created, and I loved it so much, I made it for all my co-workers. I hope they know how much love I put into this card, especially since I made 30 of them.

Bring out the bling, Santa!

Did you arrive here from Amanda's blog, Our Crafty Playdate? What did you think about her entry this week? WOW, right? Don't forget to hop on over to Joni in the Spotlight Stamping next ... you'll get wowed everywhere you hop.

Have a wonderful Christmas, everyone. Thank you for stopping by and viewing my cards and viewing our blog every week. We love and appreciate you.

MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Coloring Down the Lines - Bling Out With Silver and Gold

Welcome back to our blog hop for this week. I can't believe time is flying by and Christmas will be here before you know it. You may have arrived here from Our Crafty Playdate. I hope you were pleasantly surprised.

This is week two of our silver and gold creations. This is so easy .. I really didn't think it would be.

Here's the inspirational photo for this week, and yes, my card right below.

I didn't know if you could tell that there is silver glimmer paper under the gold star, so I took a side-view shot of the card. It looks awesome in person.

Having fun with Christmas .. I hope you are too. Now hop on over to Joni in the Spotlight Stamping for some more bling.

Thanks for stopping by.

Coloring Down the Lines - Silver & Gold

Nothing says Silver and Gold like the Christmas holiday. I can just hear Burl Ives singing Silver & Gold, Silver & Gold, Everyone Wishes For Silver & Gold ... just love it.

This month, we will be focusing on Silver and Gold. There are a whole lot of possibilities using Silver and Gold, and I had fun making my first card of the season with it.

Here is the pretty inspirational photo we used this week ...

I knew exactly what I wanted to create, so as soon as I sat down at my crafting station, I pulled out everything and whipped up my card in no time. Check it out!

Recipe
Cardstock:  very vanilla, gold and silver foil, silver glimmer paper
Ink:  gold embossing powder
Stamp Set:  Christmas pines
Accessories:   softly falling textured impressions EF, merry tags framelit dies, pretty pines thinlit dies, silver glitter ribbon

I wanted to have a nice background, but the lighting in my dining room is rather soft and yellow, so the color of the card looks like I used copper, but I didn't. You can see the colors more vividly in the first picture.

I hope you like my card. If you started here, take a hop forward to Amanda's blog from Our Crafty Playdate, then continue the hop, then on to Joni in the Spotlight Stamping, until you get to Robbie's blog, Inked X 2, where it all begins.

Thanks for stopping by this week. And there's a real treat coming up for you too ... we're starting another blog hop on Thursdays, each day, featuring a selected stamp set. Don't forget to check that out, as you will certainly be treated to some more great and lovely designs.

Cheers!

Wine Boxes

I was a vendor at a winery a couple weekends ago, and thought I would post some of the wine bottle boxes I made. I found a video on you tube on how to make these, and believe it or not, they are quite easy and oh so pretty.

Here are two of the ones I made:

Now stay tuned, I will be posting some wine tags I made as well tomorrow. Hope you like them -- let me know what you think.

Merry Christmas Tags

A friend of mine commissioned me to make some Christmas Tags for some gift packages that her husband will be distributing to this customers. Of course, I jumped at the opportunity to create tags. This is right up my alley ...

So I sat down and tried to figure out what to make and made a few prototypes, and settled on these. I am so pleased with how they came out, and best of all, so was my friend.

Here they are ... they are so pretty in person. I'll have to make a few for myself just to keep them!
Hope you like them as much as I do.

Stay turned for more posts. I'm on a roll.  (wink wink)

Sympathy for a Friend

I debated whether or not I would post this card, but I decided to anyway. You see, a friend lost her husband 3 days before Thanksgiving. He was a logger and owned his own business. He was cutting down a tree, and a large branch from another tree snapped off and struck him in his head, taking his life instantly. I just cannot imagine the pain and sadness Patsy is feeling. They did not have any children, and were very close.

I didn't know what kind of sympathy card I wanted to make, nor did I want to use a tree on the card, but knowing that Garth loved his work and loved the outdoors, I decided to make the card slightly outdoors-like, but elegant enough to express our sympathy.

This is the card I made for her. We're all so saddened at Patsy's loss, and all the more, makes us appreciate and love our family and friends around us.

God Bless Patsy, and of course, her husband who has passed.

Merry Christmouse!

Another cute stamp set is the Merry Christmouse! It's such a cute stamp set, and reminds me of a child's Christmas.  I saw quite a few cards using this set, and I just may have to CASE one or two.

I love the warmth and cheer DSP too ... it fits perfectly with this card.

Have fun stamping!!

Coloring Down the Lines - A Blessed Thank You

This post is the last of the "thank you's" for the month of November. It's hard to believe November is over now, and we are coming into the Christmas season. I sure hope December stays a while ... I want to get to enjoy it before it's over.

I wanted to create something simple for today's post. At first, I toiled over what stamp set to use, what colors I wanted, and then all of a sudden, it just came to me and I whipped it up in no time. Alleluhia!

You should have arrived here from Our Crafty Playdate, and if you missed Amanda's blog, don't forget to hop back one. Then when you're ready, take a leap forward to Joni in the Spotlight Stamping, as she most likely had her card ready before any of us!  lol.

Well, let's start with our inspirational photograph. I forgot to post it last week .... eek!

Now this is the card I created in a jiffy just for you ...

Well, that's it! Simple, but pretty. I"m glad it turned out the way I had envisioned.

Thank you for visiting us during the month of November, and I hope you will be delighted to visit us throughout December as well. It's because of you that we post our creations, and thank you for leaving your lovely comments for us.

See you in December.

Merry Christmas Tags

A friend of mine asked me to make some Christmas Tags for some gifts that her husband is giving to his customers. Of course I jumped at the chance .. and went to it creating the tags.

Here they are .. and I must say, they are so much prettier in person. Needless to say, they were pleased with the end result ... and me too!!!

Hope you like them as much as I do. They were a lot of work, but well worth it.

Season of Joy

One of the things I love about Christmas is the greenery. I love decorating with it and using it all over the house, both inside and out.

When I saw this stamp set, I knew I just had to have it. There are a lot of different uses for it, so this is the first one I made with it.

I used the copper foil paper for the pinecone, and a touch of gold glimmer paper for some bling, and it looks sweet. I love the embossing too - it finished the card off.

Hope you like it!

Happy Birthday Topiary

We always need birthday cards, and especially since I do all the birthday cards for my co-workers, it's always nice to have something when I'm in a pinch.

I thought this card was so pretty, and I love the topiary stamp set. You can use it in so many ways, and this one fit the occasion.

The color looks much better in person, as it's rich razzleberry. The card front is not a full card front, and the happy birthday pops out on the right hand side.

Ta ta for now!

Christmas Express

I wasn't sure if I was going to like this stamp set or not, but now that I have it, I like it. I love color, so once I stamped this, there isn't a whole lot of color you can use on it, but just the little you do use, it makes the card pop.

When our children were little, we used to read the Polar Express. This reminds me of that story, and warms my heart with the thought of Christmas.

All Aboard!

Hope you like it.

Getting Ready for Santa

I think I see Santa's reindeer in the distance .. no, wait, here is one of his eight!  He's ready to lead Santa's sleigh this year, and what would we do without him? I can just hear the sleigh bells ringing now, can't you?

Now, we have to look for Rudolph!

A Birthday Card for Suzanne

This is a card I made for my co-worker, Suzanne. I love making cards for our team. When I make a card, I try to think of what the recipient would like. Sometimes it's a little hard if I'm not familiar with what they like, but you can never go wrong when it comes to ice cream or cake.

This is what I made for Suzanne:

Love those accordion embellishments!

Hope you like it too.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving to all my family, friends, and followers. I wish you love, laughter, friends, family, and a wonderful day of thanks.

Season of Joy

One of the things I love about Christmas is the greenery. The pinecones, pines, bows, and all the glitter and wonder of the season.

When I saw this stamp set, I just had to have it. You can use it in many ways, but just a simple card makes all the difference.

Here's what I created using the stamp set:

You can be sure you will see another post using this stamp set.

Coloring Down the Lines - A Totally Trees Thank You

I can't believe Thanksgiving is a day away. Where did this year go? Time just keeps flying by quicker than ever, it seems.

This is the time of year to give thanks for all we have, our lives, our families, our friends, and the beautiful surroundings we have on this earth.

I am thankful for my life, with all the bumps in the road too, as each one enlightens me to what's really important.

I also want to thank you for being so loyal and following our blog each week. We appreciate you and it's because of you that we create our small masterpieces.

If you've arrived here from Robbie's blog, then you started at the right place. I'm second on the hop, then off to Joni's blog to see what she's made for you. Don't forget to continue the hop .. and see how thankful each and every one of us is and to share our beautiful creations with you.

Be thankful for what you have, and have a happy, and wonderful Thanksgiving!

Coloring Down the Lines - A Daisy of a Thank You

Welcome back to Wednesday's Coloring Down the Lines blog hop. I can't believe it's almost mid November, and Thanksgiving is next week! Time just seems to be going by more quickly than I like. I wish it would slow down, just a bit.

In keeping with this month's theme, Thank You, I made another card for you using the inspirational photo we had to use this week. Thank you's are always a great card to have around, as there is always something to be thankful for, as well as thanking those who do such nice things for us.

You probably arrived here from Amanda's blog, OurCraftyPlaydate, so the next stop is Joni of Joniinthespotlightstamping! Hop on through until you've seen everyone's creation for you. It's always fun seeing all the different ideas, just to say "Thank you".

I apologize I don't have the inspirational photograph for you this week, as I've been having a little difficulty importing it into this blog for some reason. So I'll just get right to my card for you ...

I wanted to create something very similar to the original photograph (that I couldn't import), so thank you for taking the time to stop by each week and check out our blog hop. We love that you do.

I hope to see you back soon.

Coloring Down the Lines - A Topiary Thank You

This month is all about Thank You's. And what a better time to highlight "thank you" when Thanksgiving is celebrated this month.

As we all know, Thanksgiving is all about thanking and giving of yourself, being thankful for what we have and having a fruitful life. Naturally, I don't have any problem creating thank you cards ... I seem to gravitate to making those most of all.

This is the inspirational photograph we used for this week.

Here is the card I created for you as my "Thank You":

I wonder what you would have created for your thank you. Don't ever hesitate to share.

If you've arrived here from Robbie's blog, Inkedx2, you certainly weren't disappointed. And not only do you have Robbie's and my photo, you're ready to head on over to Joniinthespotlightstamping for another great idea. How fun is that?

Well, I hope you enjoyed this week's blog. I'm off to "On Stage" this weekend in Secaucus, New Jersey. I can't wait. They're going to reveal the new catalog, and you know how exciting that is! Oh la la. I'm getting excited already.  Although we won't be able to share with you right away, we will be able to share some sneak peeks, so stay tuned.

I have some other posts I'll be sharing with you as well. Just need to find the time to take these photos and upload.

Keep stopping back. I promise, there will be some nice creations for you to view.

Coloring Down the Lines - A Spooky Treat

I cannot believe that October is almost gone, and November is upon us. Why does it seem that the holidays come so quickly, but the months where there's no holiday, just seem to drag. I guess it's because we always have so much to do during the holidays.

Anyway, this is the last of the Halloween cards ... so sad! I love Halloween, and I didn't get to make as many cards as I had wanted. I was traveling a lot, and of course, working long hours.

If you've arrived here from Robbie's blog, then you got to see the photo we used for our inspiration this week. Unfortunately, I couldn't save it and drop it in my blog for you to see. O well ...

Don't forget to check out Joni's blog after here ...  I'm sure she'll have something fun for you.

Here's my entry for the week. Hope you like it.

When I made this card, I wasn't sure how it would turn out, but I love it. I never thought a plain card could look so cute. It's really cute in person.

Well, that's it for now. Hope you have a wonderful rest of your week.

Coloring Down the Lines - Harvest Moon Halloween

Halloween is inching closer and closer, and one of the most beautiful things that happen during this time is the harvest moon. How about a super moon? Yep, we had one of those already, and I understand that in November, we're supposed to have a super, super moon. WOW. I wonder what that will be like? I can't wait to see it.

Anyway, this week we're still concentrating on Halloween. I love Halloween, and although I don't send out Halloween cards, I sure do love making them.

This is the card I've created for you this week. I had another idea in my mind, but somehow, I just didn't have my mojo on. I hate when that happens. I don't get it too often, but when I do, ugh!

Here's our inspiration ....

Here's my harvest moon card:

If you've arrived here from Amanda's blog, continue on after me to Joni. Everyone has something fun to share, and we have a full house this week.  YEAH!

Stop back for some more posts. I'll have some for you.
