I had to make a sympathy card for a friend who recently loss her mother. Unfortunately, Linda lost her stepfather within the past year, so things have not been easy. Although making sympathy cards is not something we enjoy, the fact that a home-made card for someone who is going through a difficult time hopefully will help to ease some of the pain. Losing a mother is a very difficult time, as I know because I lost mine almost 11 years ago in June. I still think of her and visit her grave to talk to her, and just her. You see, I shared the same birthday as my mother, and birthdays aren't the same without her.
I like the card I've created for Linda. I try and make sure there's an element of beauty in my sympathy cards, especially at such a low time in someone's life. Here's what I've made for her.
I used Everything Eleanor stamp set for this one, along with the petite petals. As always, the cards look so much prettier in person than they do in the photographs. I have to work on making a booth to take my photos so you will be able to see how pretty they are.
Thanks for stopping by. I appreciate you!
First off so sorry for your friends loss. I lost my momma 10 yrs this past January on the eve of her birthday. So, it is a loss that changes us forever. Sympathy cards are always difficult to make and you did a wonderful job with this one. So pretty... Hugs and Blessings T
