Coloring Down the Lines - Circle of Spring

Hi everyone, it's blog hop day and all is well here in Spring City.  Did you start the hop over at Inkedx2; where it all begins?  If not, it's a nice place to start, so hop on back one if you missed it.

This week, our color pallet was a pretty one ... and it reminded me of Spring, even though we're heading into Fall right now.  But, it's always nice to get one last Spring-time card in before the cool weather sets in.  As of now, I don't see that happening for a while, but you never know.

So let's start with the photograph and color pallet we used for inspiration this week.  Check it out and see what you would have designed using this challenge:

Ok, so I put my thinking cap on and came up with a stamp set I like - very similar to what I used last week, but with slightly a different twist.

I used the Circle of Spring, A Dozen Thoughts, and Hardwood stamp sets to come up with this design.  The brick embossing folder was used to create the soft, brick wall behind the window frame, shutters, and base of the window.  The hearth and home framelits and wonderful wreath framelits were used for the window and wreath, which added just the right touch I was looking for.  The green, wood-like shutters and base of the window added a nice touch - a little bit o' country, with a Spring flair.

Now that you've had a chance to look at my card, why don't you hop on over to Joni's blog and check out what she's got in store for you this week?  And don't forget to continue the hop ... there's more good ideas right behind me.

Thanks for stopping by, and if you live on the East Coast, stay cool ... it's going to be hot tomorrow and the next day.  Of course, tomorrow is my community service day where I'll be helping out at the animal shelter, but just seeing the sweet animals will make me forget all about how hot it truly is.

See you soon.
