Coloring Down the Lines - Real Red

Hi!  I'm glad you came back to check out our blog hop this week.  The challenge was to come up with a card using one of the following color combinations:  real red, early espresso, and pumpkin pie, or ... real red,. very vanilla,. and tempting turquoise.  Well guess which one I selected?  Yep, you're right.  The second one.  I thought the color combination is "happy", so that's why I selected it.  The colors said "birthday" to me, so I thought I would go with it.

Did you arrive here from Carol's?  I'm sure you liked her entry this week.  As always, I love it.  Here's what I made for you.  It's not too fancy, so so sweet and simple.  Hope you like it:

Recipe
Paper:  very vanilla, real red, tempting turquoise, brights patterned dsp
Ink:  real red
Stamp Set:  itty bitty banners
Accessories:  alphabet press EF, bitty banners framelits, circle and oval punches, bakers twine

So now that you've seen my entry for the week, let's hop on over to Joni's blog and see what colors she used.  Here we go .....................................

Tuesday's Falling

It's Tuesday, and yes, here's another "Fall" card from our team swap.  Check this one out ..

This one was not marked, but I think it may be Megan's.  Don't you just love the color of the leaves?  They look so nice against the wood grain background.

Come back tomorrow - it's our blog hop, and you'll want to not miss that.  See you then.

It's a Fall of a Week

This month, our team swap focused on "Fall".  So each day this week, I'll be posting one of my team mate's cards.  I'm sure you'll be inspired by what you see, so please come back and visit.  Let me know what you think ...

First up is Eleanor's card.  It's a beauty.  I love the textures in the card, and the leaves are colored so nice.  The origami star just made the card.  Hope you like it as much as I do.  Thanks Eleanor - great job!

Until tomorrow ... Fall Gently ....

Coloring Down the Lines - Pumpkin Pie

This week's color combination is just in time for Fall.  Although we're not quite there yet, Fall is just around the corner.  Just thinking about all the beautiful colors makes for some pretty, colorful creations.

Did you arrive from Carol's blog?  You can always count on Carol for pretty color combinations, don't you agree?  Well for my selection this week, I chose Pumpkin Pie, Early Espresso, and Daffodil Delight.  I love the way the colors blend together.  I wasn't sure of Pumpkin Pie, Pacific Point, and Real Red - they just didn't say "Fall" to me.  Anyway, here's my card this week - it's called Chalk Talk meets Gorgeous Grunge!

Recipe:
Paper:  early espresso, whisper white, daffodil delight, early espresso and pumpkin pie patterned dsp
Ink:  pumpkin pie, daffodil delight, early espresso
Stamp Set:  chalk talk, gorgeous grunge
Accessories:  chalk talk framelits, pumpkin pie candy dots

I'm really liking the gorgeous grunge stamp set.  I never thought I would, but I do.  It makes for some interesting backgrounds on cards.  I hope you like it too.

Now, let's go on over to Joni's blog and check out her card.  Until tomorrow, keep on creating.  It's good for the soul.

Until then, have a wonderful week and keep smiling.

Another Food Thief!

Poor Barney, my little Maltese.  His brother Bandit always steals his food because it takes Barney so long to eat it and Bandit just can't stand seeing it there.  Well, now Lucia got into the act and poor little Barney.  Everyone seems to be dipping in his food.  I caught Barney's expression on this one ... how precious:

Now you're wondering where this bowl is, I know.  I have to feed Barney either on the sofa or my bed in hopes that no one else eats his food but him, but as you can see in the photo above, it doesn't matter where his bowl is, someone's in it, and it's not Barney.  Don't you just love the expression?  He's just shocked that his baby kitty sister is now stealing his food too.  Well, I was hoping Barney would learn to be faster at claiming his food, but it's hopeless.  Poor little man!!!

Pillow Gifts from Stamp Camp

I attended at stamp camp that my upline, Jill, hosted, about a week ago, and she surprised us with some cute pillow gifts.  I just love pillow gifts - they are just so darn cute, and there's always goodies inside to keep you going.  Here is what Jill made for us:

And you know what the best thing about stamp camp was?  I got to meet one of our team members who lives in South Carolina!!!  It was so nice meeting Diane.  She's such a talented woman, and her husband, Cliff, is so cute and a gem.  I took a picture of them - you'll see how cute they are:

What a treat to meet them.  I wish they lived closer - but since they don't, my friend Eleanor and I decided we just may have to make a road trip to South Carolina.  Won't that be fun?  I'll keep you posted on that journey.

Well, until tomorrow, thank you for stopping by.  Please come back again ... I love your visit.

A Banner Month

I had a banner month in sales for the month of July, and my upline recognized me and made me a nice "create" banner which was presented to me in a cute kraft box with the new paper bow.  I also won the "dude" kit so that my husband and/or son can make cards - hopefully for me.  We'll see how that goes.  LOL.

Anyway, here's the cute banner.  I have it up on my wall already.

Isn't it nice?   I love it.

Until tomorrow, keep on creating !!!

How Many Candles Do You Have?

As promised, this is the other card I made for my friend to give our co-worker, Marion, for his birthday.  I really liked this card - and it was rather fun to make.  I used the bird wings from the bird punch for the flames on the candles ... how perfect is that?  Hope you like it as much as I had fun making it.

Don't you just want to blow out the candles?

Well, until tomorrow, keep creating!

Happy Birthday, Marion

I made a card for a co-worker that we celebrating his birthday this past Monday.  I have no idea what he is in to, what his likes or dislikes are, so I had to wing it.  So, here's what I came up with for him:

The card has a red, white, and blue theme, with a festive twist.

this is the inside of the card.

Marion liked his card a lot and thanked me so much for making it for him.  I was happy that he liked it.   My friend also asked me to make a card for Marion for her to give to him, so I did.  I'll post that one tomorrow.

Have a happy day, whether it's your birthday or not.  Everyday should be just like a holiday.

Coloring Down the Lines - Pacific Point

Welcome back to our blog hop!  This week wasn't that easy to come up with a design for the color combinations.  They didn't seem that hard, but my brain just couldn't come up with something fun.  So, since I was using the Flower Shop stamp set this past week, I thought I would use it for my entry this week.

The color combinations are:  pacific point, daffodil delight, and rich razzleberry, or pacific point, pumpkin pie, and real red.   I chose the first color combination because I felt I had more to work with.  Couldn't come up with anything for the second color combo.  We'll have to check out if anyone else did.

If you just came over from Carol's blog, I'm sure you were quite pleased, as usual.  Or, if you arrived here from Joni's blog, I'm sure you were pleasantly surprised.  Well, this is the best I could do this week, and hopefully, next week will come a little easier.  LOL.

Recipe
Paper:  pacific point, whisper white, rich razzleberry
Ink:  pacific point, rich razzleberry, daffodil delight
Stamp Sets:  flower shop, loving thoughts
Accessories:  chevron punch, daffodil delight seam binding, basic rhinestones, polka dot EF, bitty banner framelits, pansy punch

Well, that's it for this week.  I hope you'll continue to stop back and get inspired by all the great works of art we love to share with you.  TTFN

Flower Garden Masterpiece

Look what I made at Stamp Camp over the weekend!  Isn't it the cutest?  It's made from the flower bouquet kit that Stampin' Up offered just recently.  I made this frame, along with the cute bouquet in a bottle.  I love flowers, so I'm just tickled with these.  I hope you like them as much as I do.

Stay tuned for more ... Hugs!

Team Swap for August - Fall Theme

It seems like we just had our July team meeting (had to be pushed back due to Convention), and now we're into August already.  This month's team swap theme is Fall.  So of course, I just had to use the magnificant maple stamp.  Fall is just around the corner (do I dare say), so it's a perfect time to get geared up with making our cards.

Here's my card:

So there it is.  Hope you like it as much as I do.

Until tomorrow, happy stamping!!!

July Team Swap - Wedding

Each month, our team has a different theme for our swaps.  July was "weddings".  This one was an easy one for me - I didn't have to think too hard and the design just popped into my head and whola, the card was created.  I made them all in no time and was ready to go way ahead of time.  Here's my card:

The card is very simple, but pretty.  For some reason, I've been into the orange and green color combination lately.  Maybe it's because my daughter had those colors for her wedding and they just looked so pretty together.  Did you notice that I added the clay flower too?  I made about 80 of them, so I had many left over and they fit the card perfectly.

Hope you like it.  Thank you for stopping by.

Flower Shop Thank You's

I made a few thank you cards for some of my dearest friends, and I liked the card so much that I made a bunch more.  I started out with the new Stampin' Up 2013-15 In Colors, and then migrated from there.  I got my inspiration from LeAnne over at weeinklings.  She created a cute card and I improvised a bit and WOW, love them.  See what you think:

I just love this card and couldn't make enough of them.  I made more cards using the 2012-13 In Colors and of course, Bermuda Bay.  That color is just so pretty - I'm so glad Stampin' Up brought it back.

Well hope you like my cards as much as I do.  They're easy to make, but just a tad bit time consuming.  But .... oh so worth it.

See you tomorrow!

United Way's Backpack-a-thon for Cradles to Crayon Event at Lincoln Financial Center

Every year, our company participates in a big way for the United Way campaigns.  This year, there was a group of us who signed up to do the backpack-a-thon at the Lincoln Financial Center in Philadelphia, PA.  We had a great time, and in total, with all the corporations that participated, packed 22,000 backpacks full of school supplies for needy children.  A lot of companies donated the school items such as:  copy books, pencils, folders, sharpeners, pens, crayons, calculators, etc.  Our table packed 1,080 backpacks in about 2 hours.  WOW.  It was a fun event.  Here's some photographs of us:

The PJM Crew (l-r):  Cheryl, Risa, Bhav, Deepthi, Gene, Tracy, Ginger, Alpa, Me and Carla

Here we are packing the backpacks - assembly line, here we come!!!

Outside the door, here's a view of Lincoln Financial Field - Home of our Philadelphia Eagles.

A great day was had by all, especially knowing the great things we did for all those children.

Bridal Shower Invitation

I made a bridal shower invitation, not for anyone in particular, but just to make one.  I know, you think I'm crazy ... but why not?  You never know when you're going to be asked to create on for someone.

Here's what I made ...

Do you like it?  It's short and sweet, and I was totally into the new crisp cantaloupe color at the time I made this.  I like the new "in colors", so it was easy to go for it.

Thanks for stopping by and keep coming back.  I enjoy your visits.

Coloring Down the Lines - Old Olive

Ahhh, old olive.  It's such a staple color in the Stampin' Up color pallet.  What would we do if that color ever got retired.  OH NO!

Our color challenge for this week is the combinations of:  old olive, soft suede, and crushed curry, or old olive, pumpkin pie and cherry cobbler.  I chose the first color combination to start with.  I always put the colors together and look at them before deciding what to make using them.  I always gravitate back to flowers a lot, and this one is no exception.  But this one has a little bit of a twist.

So before I do the big reveal, what did you think of Carol's card?  Her cards keep getting better and better.  I love the way she blends her colors together - someday, I hope to be able to do that as well as she does.  As you can see, I stick to the card stock for my cards.  It's something I know I do best.  Check it out:

Card Recipe
Paper:  old olive, soft suede, very vanilla
Ink:  crushed curry, old olive, soft suede
Stamp Set:s:  mosaic madness, fabulous flourettes
Accessories:  mosaic punch, square lattice EF, crushed curry button, very vanilla seam binding, soft suede candy dots

I hope you like the card.  It was fun.  I love making the bows using a fork.  I saw the tutorial on France Martin's blog and have been doing them a lot.  She made it fun and easy, and they look so nice.

Now, let's check out Joni's card this week.  She already had her's completed before the weekend.  Go Joni.

Thank you for stopping by, and I do hope to see you again tomorrow.  Thank you!

By the Shore Birthday for Tom from Tj

Our son, Tj, asked me to make a card for him for his father for his birthday.  He told me he wanted me to make something masculine.  He said to make something that reminds him of the seashore, so I knew exactly what I wanted to do.  I pulled out "By the Shore" stamp set and went to work.  I changed things a few times, and here is the final result:

I cut out the starfish, crab, and seashell and put a dimentional behind them so they pop.  You can't see it real well in the picture, but I colored the rhinestones with permanent marker, and they added just the right touch.  I added the twine and whola.  I know Tom will like it, and I hope Tj does too.  I'll give it to him tomorrow so he can give it to Tom on Thursday.

Well, back to the studio to make something for the blog hop tomorrow.  Hope you'll come back and join us.  See you tomorrow.

Tom's Birthday Card

I wasn't sure what I wanted to make for my husband's birthday card, but since I love the birthday dsp so much, I thought I'd try and make something from that.  So off I went to my craft studio to make him a birthday card.  I wanted to make something masculine, but then again, I can make a card that can be either or.  So, this is what I ended up making:

I saw a card like this and made one similar.  I like the way it turned out.  I hope he likes it.  His birthday is on Thursday, so I'll let you know what he thinks of it.  Until tomorrow....happy stamping!

Nancy's Birthday Card

I like the new birthday designer series paper, so how fitting that I use it for my sister, Nancy's birthday card.  The colors and designs are "fun" and "happy".  Here's the card I made for my sister...

My sister loved the card when I gave it to her.  I'm so glad.  So on to making a card for my husband.  His birthday is coming up this week.  Check back to see what I made for him.

Boat Babies

It's summer, and whenever we can get out on our boat, we do.  Our doggies, Barney and Bandit, love it too.   They get excited when we throw the anchor and settle in for a swim and some lunch.  They jump up on the sun pad and they're ready.  I captured some photographs of the little guys ..

Thanks for the ride, Daddy.  We love riding the knee board to the beach and then playing in the sand.  How fun!

That's Barney on the left and Bandit on the right.  This is right after being in the water, cooling off.  Aren't they cute?  They're my little babies.

This is a picture of our boat anchored at Battery Island on the Chesapeake Bay.  There I am in the boat with Barney.

Summer seems like it's only here for a short while and then back to Fall.  I love the seasons, but more and more, I'm loving Summer a lot more than I used to.

Thanks for stopping by to visit us.  Hope you'll stop by again tomorrow.

Door Decor

When we were at Convention, a group of up decorated our hotel room doors.  We had fun doing that, and there were some really cute door decors out there.  Of course, I took a photograph of ours, which Jessica was kind enough to design for us.  Here's what she did with ours:

So what do you think?  Cute huh?  Jessica did a great job on it.  Thanks Jessica.  I couldn't have done it better.

Below are some other door decor that you may like too:

This is Laura Lynn's door decor.  She's such a talented lady ...

This one is Robbie's.  She had a black, shiny board that was really cool.  When you wrote on her board, it really was visible and bright.  Way Cool.

And here is Marilyn's.  She was directly across from Jessica and I.  Cute cute cute.

What fun that was.  I wish I would have taken photographs of all the other doors - they all were pretty.

Until tomorrow, keep the designs flowing ...

Wisteria Wonder Purse

At convention, a few of us made some of our own make & takes, and this is one of them.  It's a cute purse that holds a gift card inside.  Check it out ... it's so cute:

I couldn't get the photograph to be right side up (sorry), but you get the idea.  Hope you like it.  I'm going to try and recreate it again, and then give you the details, should you want to make one too.

For now, keep on trying new things.  It's nothing but fun!
