This card is really pretty, but the actual credit goes to one of my favorite artists of all, Butternut Sage. I created this card after seeing her gorgeous card she made for her hubby. This doesn't compare, but then again, I didn't want to copy her card exactly since that was for her special love.
Hope you like mine just as much.
Great use of the heart framelits, don't you think?
btw, he loved the card!

Rollin', Rollin', Rollin' Over at The Paper Plunge
I'm back and so happy about that. I've been away from blogging for quite some time, so it sure does feel great to do what I love again.
This week's challenge #23 over at The Paper Plunge is Rollin', Rollin', Rollin', Keep them Brayering. Well, I must say, I'm not very good at brayer, but I always take the time and try my best to see how it will turn out. Since Winter is still among us, I though I would keep with that theme (yes, even though I'm totally thinking Spring!!) and make a winter-scene card. I love the "Sheltering Tree" stamp set - new in the Occasions Catty, so I thought I would use that and build a scene around it. Although there's not a whole lot of stamping on my card, I love the way it turned out just the same. I sure do hope you do too.
Here's mine for The Plunge ...
I used a little glitter on the snow, and there's light snow falling from the sky. I wanted to make it subtle, and lo and behold, it is.
Hope you enjoy it, and please, pop on over to The Paper Plunge this week and check out all the beautiful works of brayer art. You might just want to try your hand at it too.
Good Luck!

Groovy Love Valentine
You might be seeing some Valentine cards for the next few posts because I didn't get to post them due to all my computer issues.
This card is one I created for my library class. It's actually my favorite one of the two, and everyone loved it. Hope you do too.
How easy is that? Two groovy hearts with a glimmering red heart in the middle, along with a wonderful sentiment of love. I liked it because it wasn't a totally "red" card. Just a little something different.

Coloring Down the Lines - Big Day
Well, I've been a little busy helping with a stampin' escape weekend this past weekend, so I didn't have much time to post anything for you. But .... I will be posting here and there again, as I have a couple projects I have to complete, so bear with me and you'll surely be in for a treat.
This week's blog challenge for Coloring Down the Lines is really pretty. I love the photograph we used for inspiration. It's soft, subtle, and of course, yummy. Here's the pic and the color pallet we used ...

I just love the colors ... and so given the colors we were challenged to use this week, this is what I came up with ...
Recipe:
Paper: very vanilla, sahara sand
Ink: crisp cantaloupe, blushing bride, calypso coral, crumb cake
Stamp Sets: big day, work of art
Accessories: sale-a-bration ribbon in calypso coral, button, twine
That's it .... do you like it? I hope so. And for more inspiration, please hop on back to Carol's blog, and then hop ahead to see what Joni made for you. A great week for creating ... I hope you'll find inspiration here and continue to join us each week.
Lots of hugs and stay warm!

Coloring Down the Lines - From the Garden
Hi Everyone! I'm officially back. I've been having some computer issues that you just wouldn't imagine, and so I'll spare you all the details. All I can say is that I'm so glad to be back.
Today's challenge is using the color pallet listed below. The picture is so pretty, and I know it's still Winter, but I just can't help thinking of Spring. I sure wish it was right around the corner, but I'm afraid it's a little ways off yet.
So without making you wait any longer, below is the inspirational photograph, along with the color pallet we're using this week.
I won't tell you how many times I designed this card ... but all I can say is ... FINALLY! Now, if you haven't had a chance to check out Carol's submission for this week, please feel free to click on her name and you'll be sent back to her blog. And after viewing Carol's beautiful creation, hop on over to check out what Joni' cooked up for you this week. It's amazing Joni still has time to create, since she's been blasted with blizzard after blizzard up there in Boston. We're glad to see she's survived all that snow.
Well thanks for stopping by, and be rest assured, I'll be posting again on a regular basis.
